Common questions

Is this the official website of a supplement brand?

No. This is an independent information resource covering men's health topics, supplement ingredients, and the products sold in this category across a number of markets. Force X is one of the products reviewed here, not the subject of the site.

How are ingredients assessed?

Each ingredient profile is assigned an evidence tier: strong (multiple randomised human trials with consistent results), moderate (several human trials, small samples or narrow populations), limited (mechanism established in the laboratory but little human data), or contested (well-conducted trials that failed to confirm the marketed effect). Tiers are stated visibly on every profile, including the unflattering ones.

Do supplements really raise testosterone?

Zinc and vitamin D reliably do so in men who are deficient, and do essentially nothing in men who are not. Ashwagandha has moderate evidence for a modest increase in stressed men. Tribulus and D-aspartic acid — the two most heavily marketed — have failed to show an effect in controlled human trials. Sleep, body composition and alcohol intake all produce larger changes than any of them.

What is the difference between free and total testosterone?

Total testosterone includes the large fraction bound tightly to sex hormone-binding globulin and biologically unavailable. Free testosterone is the small unbound fraction that can enter cells and act. Because SHBG rises with age, a normal total reading can coexist with a low free level and real symptoms — which is why both, plus SHBG, should be measured together.

When should I see a doctor rather than take a supplement?

Sudden-onset erectile difficulty, loss of morning erections with fatigue and low mood, blood in urine or semen, a weak urinary stream with incomplete emptying, testicular pain or a lump, breast tissue development, or unexplained weight loss. Sudden erectile dysfunction in particular is an established early marker of cardiovascular disease and warrants a blood pressure, lipid and glucose check.

Are supplements regulated in the European Union?

They are regulated as food under Directive 2002/46/EC, not as medicines. There is no pre-market efficacy approval, and manufacturers may not legally claim a product treats, cures or prevents disease — only approved claims from the EU Register may be used. Safety and labelling compliance are the manufacturer's legal responsibility, policed after products reach the market.

Why do some products contain undeclared pharmaceuticals?

Because a genuinely herbal sexual-performance product produces a much weaker effect than a prescription PDE-5 inhibitor, some manufacturers add sildenafil or tadalafil analogues without declaring them. Regulators recall such products routinely. This is dangerous specifically for men taking nitrate medication, for whom the combination can cause a severe drop in blood pressure.

How long should a supplement be given before judging it?

Most trials in this field measure their primary endpoint at 8–12 weeks. Adaptogens may show subjective changes at 2–4 weeks; nitric oxide precursors act within hours but transiently; sperm parameters need around three months because of the spermatogenesis cycle. Ten days is not an evaluation.

How this site works

Everything here is written to be read before a purchase, not after one. Ingredient profiles state the evidence tier openly — including where the best trials were negative. Product entries describe what a formula contains and what that supports, and they link to the ingredient evidence rather than repeating the manufacturer's claims. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and no supplement described here treats or prevents disease.
