Standardised — which is worth noting
Most botanical products give you a plant name and a weight and leave it there. Erector Complex declares both extracts standardised to 30% polysaccharides, which is the kind of specification that lets a dose be compared with research rather than guessed at.
The full declared composition is water, Cordyceps sinensis fruiting body extract, Ganoderma lucidum (reishi) fruiting body extract, glycerin as carrier, natural lemon flavouring, citric acid, potassium sorbate and steviol glycosides. Active content per 1 ml daily dose: cordyceps extract 60 mg, reishi extract 60 mg.
What the mushroom evidence supports
Cordyceps has a real, if modest, research base for exercise capacity and fatigue. Trials in older adults have reported improvements in VO₂ max and time to exhaustion; the mechanism proposed is improved oxygen utilisation rather than stimulation. Almost all commercial cordyceps is Cordyceps militaris or the cultivated CS-4 strain rather than wild Cordyceps sinensis, a distinction worth knowing when comparing products.
Reishi is the more traditionally used and the less clinically demonstrated of the two. Its research is dominated by immune-modulation and quality-of-life endpoints, with a Cochrane review of reishi in cancer care finding insufficient evidence to support it as a first-line treatment.
On dose: trials of cordyceps for exercise capacity typically used 1–3 g of extract daily. At 60 mg, this product supplies a small fraction of that. The standardisation is a genuine positive; the quantity is the limitation.
Format and market
It is taken as 1 ml once daily by pipette, either held sublingually for 30–60 seconds or diluted in a little water, ideally at the same time each day. Sublingual dosing is sometimes claimed to improve absorption; for large polysaccharide molecules that claim is weak, as they are poorly absorbed across the oral mucosa.
Distribution is Poland only. The seller's call centre runs 09:00–21:00 on weekdays and 10:00–18:00 at weekends. Price is confirmed at the point of order.
The evidence behind each declared active
Presence on a label is not presence at a researched dose. Each profile states its evidence tier openly.
Frequently asked questions
What does "standardised to 30% polysaccharides" mean?
It specifies how much of the measured active class the extract contains, so a dose can be compared with research instead of guessed. Unstandardised mushroom powder can vary several-fold in polysaccharide content between batches.
Is 60 mg of cordyceps a meaningful dose?
It is small. Trials that found effects on exercise capacity generally used 1–3 g of extract daily. The standardisation is a real positive here; the quantity is the limitation.
Does taking drops under the tongue improve absorption?
For small lipophilic molecules, sublingual dosing can help. For large polysaccharides — the standardised active class in this product — absorption across the oral mucosa is poor, so the benefit is doubtful.
What is reishi studied for?
Mainly immune modulation and quality-of-life endpoints. A Cochrane review of reishi in cancer care found insufficient evidence to support it as a first-line treatment. It has no specific evidence base for erectile function.
Important
Erector Complex is a food supplement, not a medicine.
