The formula, and which parts are load-bearing

Alpha Gigante declares five actives: L-arginine, sarsaparilla root extract (Smilax officinalis), extract of the aerial parts of common oat (Avena sativa), zinc and selenium.

Two of those five stand on solid ground. Zinc is a cofactor in testosterone synthesis and carries an authorised EU claim for contributing to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in blood — a claim that applies to correcting a shortfall rather than boosting a normal level. Selenium contributes to normal spermatogenesis under a similarly authorised claim.

The other three are weaker. L-arginine has a real mechanism as a nitric oxide precursor and a real bioavailability problem. Sarsaparilla and oat straw are traditional-use botanicals with very little controlled human data for male sexual function; oat straw in particular is a folk remedy with a persistent reputation and almost no trial base.

What "authorised EU claim" actually means

It is worth being precise here, because supplement marketing rarely is. The EU Register of nutrition and health claims lists a small number of statements a manufacturer may legally make. Zinc's testosterone claim is one of them. What it does not mean is that the product raises testosterone in a man whose zinc status is already adequate — the claim is about maintenance of normal levels, and the underlying research is deficiency-correction research.

This is the single most useful thing to understand when reading any label in this category, and it applies across every product on this site.

Market and format

Alpha Gigante is sold in Poland in 30-capsule packs, priced at 137 PLN promotional at the time of writing. The seller's call centre operates Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and Saturday 08:00–16:00, in Polish. Delivery terms and the number of packs included at the promotional price are confirmed by the consultant during the order call.

As with every product covered here, it is a food supplement rather than a medicine, and pricing changes without notice.

The evidence behind each declared active

Frequently asked questions

Does Alpha Gigante raise testosterone?

Its zinc content carries an authorised EU claim for contributing to the maintenance of normal blood testosterone. That is a maintenance claim grounded in deficiency-correction research — it is not evidence that the product raises testosterone in a man whose zinc status is already adequate.

What is sarsaparilla doing in the formula?

Smilax officinalis is a traditional-use botanical with a long folk reputation in male tonics. Its controlled human evidence for sexual function is very limited, so it is best read as a traditional inclusion rather than an evidence-led one.

Is oat straw extract useful?

Avena sativa aerial parts appear in many male formulas on the strength of traditional use. The human trial base is minimal, which is why this profile does not treat it as a load-bearing ingredient.

How many capsules are in a pack?

Thirty. The listed promotional price at the time of writing is 137 PLN; delivery cost and any multi-pack offer are confirmed by the seller when the order is placed.

Important

Alpha Gigante is a food supplement, not a medicine. Under EU Directive 2002/46/EC and equivalent regulation in other markets, supplements are regulated as food: they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and they do not replace a varied diet or a healthy lifestyle. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use, particularly if you take prescription medication or have a diagnosed condition.
